After 20 years in private practice in cardiology I have seen way too often, firsthand, the devastation obesity and its
related problems bring to patients’ lives. I have seen people struggle mightily against this problem, often with limited results despite
all their efforts and energy. So I was very excited to work with our great staff to bring this program to life for the benefit of our
community here in central Wisconsin. The results that we see and smiles and hugs we receive truly make my day.
I grew up in Wausau with two younger brothers and parents who always made nutrition a priority. As I began college at
the University of Wisconsin-Marathon County I was excited to learn that my passion for nutrition could be a career. I transferred to UW-
Madison to pursue Dietetics and have now been a practicing Registered Dietitian for 8 years. During this time I have received certification
in adult, adolescent and childhood weight management. My passion in nutrition has always been geared toward weight loss because it can
change the whole person by improving the body and mind, reducing needs for medications and increasing quality of life.
Favorite Ideal Protein Food: White Cheddar Ridges
I am a very fun and energetic person that loves to help people reach their goals. I have been a Health and Wellness
Specialist with Aspirus Occupational Health since April 2012 and an Ideal Protein coach since May 2013. I am fortunate to have found my
passion in life and make it my career. My absolute favorite part about coaching is when I see someone have an “ah ha” moment and everything
starts to click for them. By using my health and wellness background I hope to encourage many others to lead a healthier lifestyle.
Favorite Ideal Protein Food: Chocolate Drink Mix
I’ve been a nurse for 8 years and on a daily basis I see the impact that obesity has on a person’s personal life and
health. A goal of mine has always been to take the best care of myself that I can, so that I can live a long healthy life and help others
to do the same. Working with Ideal Protein I get can tell patients that, due to a weight loss, they are able to stop medications that they
have been on for years. Weight loss has a very powerful and positive impact in our lives and I feel very fortunate to be involved with the
Favorite Ideal Protein Food: Southwest Cheese curls, Garlic soy chips and pre-made strawberry banana drink
I have a degree in Health Promotion/Wellness with an emphasis in Nutrition from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. I have a background in Health Coaching for weight loss and started at Aspirus as a Health Coach in April 2015. Health and wellness has always been an important part of my life, and I now enjoy using my skills and passion to help others achieve their wellness goals.
Favorite Ideal Protein Food: Cookie Dough Swirl bar
I have always been interested in health behavior and why people make decisions based on how they were raised, where they grew up, and what they were taught at a young age. I strongly believe that socioeconomic factors have a huge impact on diet and exercise. I want to help patients maintain a healthy weight by encouraging them to recognize what habits cause their weight gain and loss. Dieting is a lot more complicated than eating healthy foods and exercising regularly. I understand that there are a lot of psychological challenges along the way when it comes to dieting. I am here to listen and help! I am currently pursuing my Master’s Degree in Public Health and am extremely passionate about health behavior and wellness. I want to help patients be the best that they can be and live life to the fullest!
Favorite Food: Garlic and Herb Soy Crisps
I graduated from Upper Iowa University with a bachelor’s degree in Health Services Administration. I have been with Aspirus Ideal Weight Solution since September, 2014 as the administrative assistant working closely with the health coaches and patients. I have struggled with weight loss myself throughout much of my adult life and I am currently doing the program right along with the patients. I have lost 40 pounds so far and will continue until I reach my goal weight. I enjoy working with the patients on a daily basis in helping them reach their goals as well. In my free time away from work, I enjoy gardening, antiquing, motorcycling, spending time with family/friends and visiting my son in Denver, CO a couple times each year.
Favorite Ideal Protein Food: All things chocolate! Chocolate Drink, Chocolate Chip Pancakes, Chocolate Wafers, and the Cookie Dough Swirl Bar.
Originally from Buffalo, New York, I have always had an interest in food; cooking, baking, healthy eating, etc. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition in Buffalo and my Master’s degree in Public Health Nutrition from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. Since moving to Wausau in 1986, I have been involved in a variety of weight management programs including group classes, individual nutrition therapy, liquid diet programs, weight loss surgery consultations, as well as the Ideal Weight Solutions Program. It is so rewarding to be able to help people impact their overall health by establishing life-long healthy eating and exercise habits, as well as positive behaviors that will enable them to maintain a healthy life.
Favorite Food: Peanut Butter Crunch Bar
I am an outgoing compassionate person. I graduated from Winona State University with an Exercise Science degree and had an abundance of nutrition classes. I had hopes of becoming a physical therapist but a job with weight management fell into my lap. I enjoy the one -on- one weekly visit with patients. I enjoy listening and motivating my patients to better their lifestyle. Throughout the last 7 months I have too learned the importance of nutrition along with exercise. There are many things in life that we cannot control but diet is something we can.

I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point with the Health Promotion and Wellness major in 2015. I started working for Aspirus in 2016 as a Nutritional Health Coach / Administrative Assistant and couldn’t be happier. I have always enjoyed studying nutrition, fitness and general health. Favorite Ideal Protein Food: Salt and Vinegar Crisps
I received my Bachelor’s Degree from UW-Stevens Point in Health & Wellness Management as a non-traditional student and joined the Ideal Weight Solution’s team in 2014. I feel I never work a day in my life because I truly enjoy my position as a Nutritional Resource Health Coach. It is thrilling to have the opportunity to see so many positive changes weight loss provides: quality of life, confidence, happiness, energy and motivation to name a few. While not at work I am a busy mom of four sons who enjoy fishing, baseball, football, basketball and of course Xbox – but it’s all about balance. Weight loss is a journey and I am honored to be a part of it.
