With Lifeline, help is just a button push away. One press of your lightweight, waterproof help button (worn either on your wrist or around your neck) activates a small, in-home unit called a communicator. It puts you in touch with a caring Lifeline Monitor who talks to you to find out what kind of help you need.
Your Lifeline Monitor will call one of your "responders" (a friend, neighbor or relative), who will come to your home to check on you. If you need more professional help, your Lifeline Monitor will call for it immediately. If you press your button and cannot speak, your Lifeline Monitor knows exactly what to do.
Lifeline lets your loved ones rest assured that you are safe, secure and happy in your home. If you need help, your Lifeline Monitor will call the right kind of help for you. This may mean dispatching an ambulance or simply asking your neighbor to look in on you.
The price of Lifeline is surprisingly affordable. And there’s no need to make a long-term commitment.
Lifeline is offered by Aspirus Riverview Hospital at a charge of $30 per month for one subscriber, or $35 per month if there are two subscribers in the home. (There is an additional $10 per month charge for the Auto Alert service.) There is also a one-time enrollment fee of $35 for one subscriber, or $45 if there are two subscribers in the home.
Subscribers are issued a payment coupon book when their Lifeline unit is installed. Payments are mailed directly to Aspirus Riverview Hospital.
To become a Lifeline subscriber, please call our Lifeline Program Coordinator at 715.421.7597 or email Lisa.Neumann@aspirus.org The process of becoming a subscriber can take up to two weeks.
The Lifeline unit operates using your landline telephone system. If you have more than one phone in your home, it is suggested that you discuss with your telephone company the installation of the RJ31 jack. The RJ31 jack allows the Lifeline unit to work even if one of the lines in your home is left off the hook. Although not required, we recommend this jack as a safety feature. The price of this RJ31 jack is $115, when installed by Solarus.
