Epic Video Visits Update
After much research and testing, the network issue preventing video connectivity has been resolved and a fix applied which now allows patient video visits via Epic/Cisco.
Please utilize Epic/Cisco moving forward and only use Doxy.me as a backup method for video visits.
Here are some key takeaways to remember:
1. Default web browser must be updated to either Chrome or Edge. The video technology is not compatible with Internet Explorer. Using Internet Explorer will cause the video to immediately fail. The legacy Ascension devices may reset to Internet Explorer after shutting down and restarting.
2. In the event you have technical concerns with your video visit, you may call the Aspirus Service Desk in the moment or submit an IT Service Desk ticket for review.
Tickets must include the following detail in order for IT to troubleshoot:
-
Date and time of visit
-
Provider location at time of visit
-
Device name
-
Patient name and MRN
-
How provider was connected to video visit (wireless connection, wired connection to network)
-
Detailed description of the issue (patient could not hear the provider, provider could not hear the patient, etc.)
