SUBJECT:      Systems Integration Update – Key Dates and New Information

2021 was a year of change for all of us. COVID-19, the integration into Aspirus and the transition to Epic was a lot to tackle. You impressed us with your resiliency and determination and, we celebrate your focus on quality patient care throughout. Thank you, it’s going to be a great year!  We start 2022 with wisdom and foresight that we’d like to share today so that you’re prepared for what’s ahead.

Celebrate our successes.  You’ve mastered the basics of Epic and the associated hardware we started using last month. As of this week, our CPOE, Closure Rate, Medication Turnaround and Registration Time were all on target.  The remaining success metrics we set for BCMA, ED Door-to-Discharge, No Show Tate and Admission and Discharge Medication Reconciliations are trending in the right direction, but we still have some work to do. 

We’re in this together. This month we’ll focus on addressing workflow gaps and the additional training you need to be successful. The technology and operations teams are also focused on the remaining hardware, software, and system transitions yet to come.

What’s ahead. Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words. If you haven’t already, look at this graphic we originally posted/shared in December to understand where we’re headed. Now that we have the foundation built with the initial rollout of the base systems, we are phasing in the additional functionality and infrastructure.
