Systems Integration Week of April 18

The overall Aspirus site migration project is approximately 36% complete with Network and Wi-Fi Migrations now 100% complete.  This means that work on network and wireless network infrastructure is complete and the focus moving forward will be on moving Telephone and Workstation (Computers) to the Aspirus IT network using this Updated Event Schedule .

Events for the week of April 18-22, 2022

 Monday, April 18:

Aspirus Tomahawk Hospital (Telephone Migration Event)
Aspirus Outpatient Therapies-Tomahawk (Telephone Migration Event)

Continuing Through April 22:
Aspirus Owen Clinic (Workstation Migration Event)
Aspirus Thorp Clinic (Workstation Migration Event)
Aspirus Stanley Hospital and Clinic (Workstation Migration Event)

Here is how the Workstation (PC) move to the Aspirus IT network process takes place:
IT Team conducts walk-thru and rounding of units with local leadership to evaluate needs.
List of exceptions or other local factors to consider is finalized.
Local senior leader approves migration plan.
Technical team migrates items to the Aspirus Network.

Important: If you have not already, make sure any files located on Ascension home drives are moved to Aspirus home drives prior to the workstation migration in your area. This means items should be located in the O: or Y: drives while using Tablacus Explorer.  You will not have access to any of the legacy drive locations once your workstation is migrated. More information is available in this Tip Sheet.

Once the plan is approved, work will be done in groups based on department/floor/etc., and while each group is being migrated those machines will not be available for use for approximately 60 minutes. Once a workstation is migrated, users will need to log into the computer and make sure that they can access their data and applications and identify anything that needs further attention.

Once a device has been migrated, users will no longer log in to their devices using their Ascension credentials; instead, users will utilize their Aspirus credentials and at this time, Aspirus IT will officially take over management and support of your workstation.

Cattails
Cattails will go away in the very near future.
Marshfield only agreed to allow read only access until they deliver all data to Ascension for archiving. Once that is complete, they intend to shut off access to Cattails. Once Ascension delivers Cattails data to Aspirus it will be imported into the Aspirus archiving system called Clearsense. The data will be viewable through Epic in October and a request process will be set up to ask for data prior to being able to view through Epic.
