Systems Integration What's Next

Now that we have the foundation built with the initial rollout of the base systems including Epic, additional functionality and infrastructure is being phased in as part of the continued systems integration project.

The Aspirus network migration is underway and will be accomplished site by site in phases over the next several months.

In essence there are three steps to the project for each location which include:

Connecting integrated locations to the Aspirus Wide Area Network (WAN).
Implementation of the Aspirus Local Area Network (LAN).
Aspirus takes over administration of the existing Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN).

Each one of these phases will require coordination on many fronts with necessary downtime communicated directly by location as it is impacted. In most cases the work will be done at night or during off hours to minimize the impact on each location as much as possible.

All employees are reminded they will need to continue to log in to workstations and access applications in the same manner after the network migration. The network migration items will not impact how you access applications.

The first step, which will connect locations to the Aspirus Wide Area Network, launched on January 11 at Aspirus Stanley Hospital. Here is the current projected schedule for kick-off (subject to change) for other locations:
