Laboratory Services
Your provider may order various lab tests to help with the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of various conditions and diseases.
Aspirus offers specimen collection services at 45 of its 61 hospital and clinic lab locations. In addition, much of the testing is performed at these locations as well, enabling us to provide lab results as soon as possible. Testing not performed on-site will be sent to the local Aspirus hospital lab or our full-service Aspirus Reference Laboratory in Wausau, WI for further processing.
All patients with a valid laboratory order from both in and out-of-network providers may visit our locations offering a “Schedule Lab Appointment” feature for lab work and specimen drop-off.
Lab Billing
Aspirus accepts most insurance. We recommend contacting your insurance company to discuss any coverage questions before lab services are delivered. You are responsible for fees not covered by your insurance company.
How to Obtain Lab Results
Once the testing is completed, we will route your results to your doctor as requested. Test results performed by Aspirus Laboratories are available to any clinician with access to our Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system.
If you are a MyAspirus user, most results will be available in your MyAspirus portal after testing is completed. Please contact your doctor’s office for questions regarding the interpretation of your lab results.
