Car Seat Checks By Appointment
Starting in March 2022, Safe Kids Marathon County is resuming in-person car seat checks by appointment only. This is not a drop-in service. To help keep everyone safe, we have modified procedures and are implementing COVID-19 precautions.
At a Car Seat Check Appointment, a nationally certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) will provide education on best practices for the safe transportation of children. The role of a CPST is to educate caregivers – not to install car seats. The goal of a car seat check is for caregivers to leave better educated and confident in their skills to correctly install and use their child’s car seat on their own. Learn more about what caregivers should expect from a car seat check.
