Volunteer training is provided in all areas. There are a variety of Auxiliary volunteer opportunities to choose from, such as:

  • Hospital Gift Shop—assist with cashiering, decorating, ordering, pricing or stocking merchandise.
  • Prayer Shawls - knit or crochet shawls for patients and family members to comfort them during treatment and to take home with them following their care.
  • Fundraising—help raise funds for major gifts and medical equipment for Aspirus Ironwood Hospital. Activities and events vary from year to year. Recent fundraisers have included gift basket raffles; plant and book sales; holiday bake sale; a spring and summer craft fair and much more.
  • Auxiliary Support—keep the Auxiliary strong and growing by helping in a support role, such as new member recruitment, member mailings, Focus quarterly member newsletter, publicity and historian activities, health education, public policy, and committee and board involvement.

Tree of Love and Celebration Tree

The Aspirus Ironwood Auxiliary proudly lights a pair of trees each holiday season with lights that can be purchased for those honored in memory of those we love (Tree of Love) or to celebrate the happy and special life events such as births, weddings, graduations, anniversaries or whatever you have to celebrate (Celebration Tree). The trees are lit in early December and light are $5/each. Lights for either tree can be purchased year round and forms for purchasing light can be picked up at the Aspirus Ironwood Auxiliary Gift Shop.

The Tree of Love program illuminates the generous compassion within our community and is a significant source of financial support for the Aspirus Ironwood Auxiliary.  Help us light our tree by making a donation to remember, honor, or thank someone special.
