Dr. Willems works with clients ages 18 and up. He is skilled in assisting people in learning strategies for working through a broad array of presenting concerns. He approaches treatment in a collaborative manner, with a personalized approach and an emphasis on assisting people in learning how to independently manage the challenges they face.
Dr. Willems obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Human Services through UW-Stevens Point. He completed his Master's Degree and Ph.D. at the University of Arkansas Clinical Psychology Training Program (APA Accredited), following a scientist-practitioner training model. He also completed an internship through the University of California San Diego School of Medicine/Veterans Affairs Psychology Internship Training Program (APA Accredited) and his postdoctoral residency at the Memphis Veterans Affairs Medical Center (APA Accredited).
