Aspirus Keweenaw Auxiliary invites local graduating seniors to apply for $500 scholarships
The Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital Auxiliary invites local graduating seniors to apply for one of two $500 academic scholarships. The scholarships are a way for the auxiliary to thank students for their dedication and support of the auxiliary’s many fundraising activities.
“We are so proud of our local students for their efforts in giving back to the local community,” said Mary Ilenich, Auxiliary President. “We want to reward them for a job well done as they head off to college.”
The scholarships will be applied to the fall 2024-2025 school year and funded directly to the recipients’ school of choice with proof of registration.
Scholarship applications have been mailed to all local schools. A downloadable form is also available on the volunteer page of the Aspirus website. Applications can be mailed to the Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital Auxiliary at 205 Osceola Street, Laurium, MI, 49913. The application deadline is Wednesday, May 1.
The academic scholarships are open to Aspirus Keweenaw employees, auxiliary members, and volunteers. Immediate family members of employees, auxiliary members and volunteers are eligible if they reside in the same household or are currently attending an accredited school. Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited academic or occupational program. It need not be in a medical field.
Applicants must also include the following with their application:
