Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital & Clinics is proud to announce the addition of two physicians to its medical team; Dr. Rebecca Ulep, DO, FACOI, and Dr. Vince Ulep, DO. This husband-and-wife duo bring a wealth of expertise and dedication to the community, delivering a higher level of care close to home.
Rebecca Ulep, DO, FACOI: Hospitalist
Dr. Rebeca Ulep is a Fellow Trained Pulmonary and Critical Care physician. She completed her fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Genesys Regional Medical Center, Grand Blanc, Michigan where she developed extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in treating respiratory conditions and critical care cases. Her training equips her to handle a variety of pulmonary issues, for patients with injuries, conditions and diseases affecting the respiratory system.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Medicine with a Biology concentration from Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg Kansas, and a Doctorate from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, Kansas City, Missouri. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Board Certified in Osteopathic Internal Medicine, Critical Care, and Pulmonary Care, Dr. Ulep is also certified in Basic, Advanced Cardiac, and Fundamental Critical Care Life Support. Dr. Ulep will partner with Dr. Tony Malik, hospitalist to provide comprehensive inpatient care, ensuring patients receive top-tier treatment during their hospital stay.
Vince Ulep, DO: General Surgeon
Dr. Vince Ulep, a board-certified general surgeon. He earned his Doctorate from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, East Lansing, Michigan, and completed his general surgery residency at Genesys Regional Medical Center, Grand Blanc, Michigan.
Dr. Ulep specializes in a broad range of general surgical procedures, from managing critical illnesses to advising patients on outpatient surgical options. His areas of interest include hernia repair, soft tissue repair, laparoscopic procedures, endoscopies, and breast cancer surgery. His comprehensive approach to surgical care ensures that patients receive the most effective and advanced treatments available.
He will collaborate with General Surgeon, Dr. Rachel Laszko and Richard Raffaelli, PA-C, to deliver comprehensive surgical services and enhanced surgical care and innovative treatment options in the Keweenaw.
The addition of Drs. Rebecca and Vince Ulep and their combined expertise and compassionate approach will enhance the high-quality health care services to the local community.
