Aspirus Lab Partners with Wisconsin Rapids Schools

WISCONSIN RAPIDS - Aspirus is partnering with Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools to provide laboratory courier services for the new COVID-19 testing surveillance program at Lincoln High School and Wisconsin Rapids Area Middle School.

Between the high school and middle school, 400-500 COVID-19 tests will be performed each week on randomly selected students and staff. The program’s objective is to determine the effectiveness of the infection control measures the schools have taken to safely return students to in-person learning.

Aspirus Reference Laboratory and Aspirus Riverview Hospital Laboratory have collaborated to provide the instructions, supplies, testing, and logistical support needed to help ensure the program’s success.
