Aspirus proudly welcomes board certified orthopedic surgeon Dr. Douglas Tice

Aspirus proudly welcomes board certified orthopedic surgeon Douglas Tice, MD, to its growing orthopedic team. He joins Fred Rau, MD; Jonathan Brueggeman, DPM; Jennifer Bow, MD; Colleen Dupuis, DO; Clint Pakkala, NP-C; and Tina Ploe, NP-C, in providing the highest level of care for patients close to home. He is now seeing patients at Aspirus Laurium Clinic in Laurium and Aspirus Houghton Clinic in Houghton.

Dr. Tice is passionate about improving his patients’ function and quality of life. He specializes in general orthopedics, including total and partial knee and hip replacements, revision surgery and complex fractures.

Dr. Tice earned his medical degree from West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia, where he also completed his residency. He completed his internship at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His professional affiliations include the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.

“I feel it is so important for patients to be a part of their care and treatment options,” Dr. Tice said. “When we work together, we develop the best care plan for the best outcomes. My goal is to help my patients get back to being active and enjoying life to the fullest.”

Dr. Tice is thrilled to be a part of Aspirus’ growing orthopedic and sports medicine team and looks forward to providing even greater care options for patients.

Dr. Tice resides in Hancock. His interests outside of work including skiing and biking. He is an avid master’s cyclist.
