Bruce Crossing Native Joins Aspirus’ Family Medicine Team

Aspirus Ontonagon Clinic proudly welcomes Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Helen Domitrovich, DNP, FNP-C to its family medicine team. Domitrovich specializes in comprehensive and preventative care for the whole family, and has special interests in diabetes, women’s health, pediatrics and geriatrics. Helen joins Kasey Burke, FNP-C in delivering a higher level of care for patients close to home.

Domitrovich was born and raised in Bruce Crossing, MI. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Finlandia University in Hancock, Mich, and her Doctorate in Nursing Practice in Family Nurse Practitioner from Concordia University. She is a Michigan – licensed registered nurse and family nurse practitioner. Certifications include Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Trauma Nursing Core Course.

Domitrovich is a familiar face at Aspirus, and the Ontonagon community, having worked as a nurse at Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital and Sonco EMS.

“There is nothing like the UP. I am incredibly blessed to have been able to remain in this area and provide care for the people in my community,” said Domitrovich. “My aim is to deliver evidence-based care to all populations, with a focus on improving health outcomes for both individuals and our community as a whole. By understanding and addressing the specific needs of our communities, I hope to contribute to a healthier and more vibrant region.”

In her free time, Helen enjoys spending time with her husband, four children and two dogs.
