Dr. Clint Semrau Receives OME Collaboration Award

The Aspirus Office of Medical Education (OME) is recognizing collaboration and contributions made by Aspirus Physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs) as clinical teachers for medical students and advance practice clinician students.
This is the 3rd year that OME has recognized these efforts throughout the Aspirus system.
This year's Collaboration Award went to Dr. Clint Semrau at Aspirus Medford Hospital.
The awardee uses student, academic, or clinical partnership to advance Aspirus academic clinical medicine.
This was submitted from a medical student about Dr. Semrau:
“Dr. Semrau is an amazing teacher and asset to the Aspirus community. He takes pride in his work and is a leader in his department. He is resourceful and creative with patient care which is fundamental to practicing in a critical access hospital. He was able to teach me in a way that encouraged autonomy and allowed me to maximize my learning potential. I started my rotation having no interest in general surgery and left hoping to be in the OR more often!”–Medical Student
