Katelyn Frankwick, PA-C, Receives Aspirus OME Joy Award
For the 6th year,
the Aspirus Office of Medical Education (OME) is recognizing the collaboration
and contributions made by #AspirusHealth Physicians and Advanced Practice
Clinicians (APCs) as clinical teachers for medical students and APC
students.
This year’s Joy
Award goes to Katelyn
Frankwick, certified physician assistant with Aspirus Clinic -
Marshfield.
Frankwick
demonstrates enthusiasm, teaches with happiness, celebrates student and
academic success, and consistently contributes to a positive learning
environment.
One physician
assistant student said, “Katie is an enthusiastic teacher and provider who is
passionate about providing compassionate and evidenced-based care to her
patients. As a teacher, she greatly expanded my medical knowledge and
challenged me to grow, but most importantly, she taught me how to connect with
patients and the interdisciplinary team to promote best possible outcomes and
relationships. She valued my insights as a student, and we had a very
collaborative relationship that promoted my learning over the course of 13
weeks. You can tell that she truly enjoys teaching and is always looking to
learn more herself. She is an advocate for herself, her staff, her patients,
her students, and her community. I truly could not think of a better preceptor
than Katie. I strive to be like her in many ways once I start my career as a
PA.”
