On-Site Vaccine Clinic Resumes Mission

Last week's Concert on the Square event was rained out which meant no Aspirus on-site COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic.
However, the crew was back last night led by VP & Senior System Physician Executive of Specialty Care Dr. Mike Walters.
The team administered 13 more vaccines during the concert. That brings the total number of vaccines administered to 52 over five events.
Marathon County currently sits at
44.6% of residents who are fully vaccinated.
Getting vaccinated is important as
the country sees an increase in COVID-19 cases due the emergence of the Delta variant.
Research shows that immunity generated from COVID-19 vaccines provides better protection against variants than immunity from an infection.
Aspirus plans to continue to hold the on-site vaccine clinic every night during the concert series.
The concert series is held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. each Wednesday at the 400 Block in Wausau until Aug. 18.
There is no appointment needed. An adult can simply walk up, answer a few questions, receive the vaccine and leave after a 15-minute observation period.
