Volunteer Opportunities
Aspirus Riverview offers a variety of volunteer opportunities to choose from, including:
- Hospital Escorts (Hospitality Heros) — Greet, direct and assist patients and visitors from 8 a.m. to noon or noon to 4 p.m. weekdays, as fits your schedule.
- Emergency Department (Hospitality Heros) – Greet patients and families in the Waiting Area, providing updates and escort service to patients, families, and visitors throughout the medical complex. Weekdays 10 am - 2 pm, 2 pm - 6 pm, or 4 - 8 pm, and weekends Noon to 4 pm as fits your schedule.
- Cancer Center (Care Companions) – Greet patients and families, offer ice water or coffee. Take and deliver lunch orders for patients receiving infusions and their guests. Weekdays 10 am - 2 pm as fits your schedule.
- Home Delivered Meals Drivers (Meal Delivery Heros) — Deliver hot, nutritious noon meals to recipients in the Wisconsin Rapids, Biron, Nekoosa or Port Edwards areas. Shifts are from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. weekdays, as fits your schedule.
- VolunTeens (Compassion Crew) — Teenagers 16 and older greet and direct patients and visitors. May also assist as a hospital escort. Shifts available are from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. or 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays and/or four-hour shifts between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. weekends, as fits your schedule.

Please Note: Volunteer Requirements Include:
- Appointment and medical health screening with our Employee Health office.
- Completion of the State of Wisconsin caregiver background check form.
- Successful completion of Aspirus Riverview Hospital orientation and competencies.
- Commitment of volunteer service for a minimum of three months.
