Dr. Abigail Taub Receives Aspirus OME Vision Award
For the 6th year,
the Aspirus Office of Medical Education (OME) is recognizing the collaboration
and contributions made by #AspirusHealth Physicians and Advanced Practice
Clinicians (APCs) as clinical teachers for medical students and APC
students.
This year’s Vision
Award goes to Dr. Abigail
Taub, dermatologist with Aspirus Stevens Point Clinic - Illinois Ave.
Dr. Abigail Taub
exemplifies and models Aspirus as a learning institution. She recognizes
and demonstrates that medical education is a catalyst for creating healthy and
thriving communities and has helped expand Aspirus’ capacity for clinical medical
education.
One medical student
said, “Dr. Taub is an incredible teacher. She creates such a safe learning
environment where I felt safe to struggle and fail in the process of learning.
I never felt ashamed that I didn’t know something but rather determined to
figure it out. She allowed me the opportunity to learn in hands-on ways and
allowed autonomy as I progressed, and we both felt comfortable. She had
PowerPoints prepared for me to work through that supported my learning. I
learned more from her in 2 weeks regarding dermatology than I did in the
entirety of medical school.”
